Thomas H. Hart

Thomas Howard Hart, 81, of Downingtown, passed away the morning of Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Brandywine hospital. He was the son of the late Howard R. and Nettie C. Gray Hart and the loving husband to Violet Hart (Smith) of 60 years.



In his free time, Thomas could be foundfishing, hunting, and any outdoor activities. He also enjoyed painting landscape pictures. Thomas was a lifetime member of the Thorndale Fire Company, and retired from the Great Valley School District after of 28yrs of service.


In addition to his wife, Violet, Thomas is survived and remembered by his sons; Stephen Hart of Downingtown, David Hart (Sherryn) of Denver Pa., Thomas Hart (Elizabeth) of Honeybrook; three grandchildren, David Hart Jr., Taylor Hart, and Jennifer Hart; brother Walter Hart of Thorndale and sister Mildred McDonald of Honeybrook.

In addition to his parents Thomas is predeceased by his brothers; Frank and Carl Hart and his sisters Helen Powel and Sandra Pendergrass

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 15, at 10:30AM at the James J. Terry Funeral Home Downingtown, 736 E. Lancaster Ave. Downingtown PA, 19335. Calling hours for friends will be from 9:00AM - 10:15AM
