Susana Paula Bottcher

Susana Paula Bottcher, 92, passed away the morning of June 22, 2020 at her home in Exton surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Eduardo Maña and Maria Elena Aliseri as well as loving wife of 52 years to Bruno E. Bottcher until his passing in 2010.

Susana was the daughter of Maria Elena Aliseri and Eduardo Maña with whom she had a very special connection.  She immigrated here from Argentina at the age of 37 with Bruno and Gisela who were very young. She eventually moved to Boston where the twins, Doris and Arlene, were born. After moving to Paoli, Pittsburgh, and Wayside, New Jersey, she established roots in Exton, Pennsylvania. She enjoyed luncheons with her Friday friend group, cooking, gardening, was a talented artist who specialized in water colors, took trips to the beach, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. 

Susana is survived by her children, Bruno Bottcher (Beth), Gisela “Giz” Gaab, Doris Dannaker (Michael), and Arlene McLaughlin (Tim); as well as 7 grandchildren, Christine, Dylan, Kelsey, Ashton, William, Adelle, and Mia.

In addition to her husband and parents, Susana is preceded in death by her sister, Maria Elena and her brother Juan Eduardo.  We will all miss her gentle spirit, and kind and loving nature.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11:00am, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home Downingtown, 736 E. Lancaster Ave. Downingtown PA 19335. Family will be receiving guests prior at the funeral home from 9:30am-10:45am.
