Sharon L. (Plank) Taylor, 71, of Downingtown, PA, passed away on Saturday, March 20 at Reading Hospital, Reading.

Born in West Chester, PA, Sharon was the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Doris M. (Baldwin) Plank. She was the beloved wife of William Taylor. The couple shared 47 years of marriage.

In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by her daughters: Nicole Lytle (David) of Downingtown, Stacie Taylor of Bluffton, SC, and Elizabeth Taylor of Downingtown; grandchildren: Kayleigh Ayers, Jason Ayers, and Devin Lytle; and sisters: Sheila Plank and Sandy Blackman; Nieces: Amy Duca and Lauren Uthenwoldt and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her son, Joel Matthew Gregory.

Sharon was employed as a highly dedicated administrative assistant to the Principal for 29 years in the Downingtown Area School District. She was the President of the Teamsters Union for the support staff for the district. She was well-loved and admired by her friends and coworkers. She enjoyed lunches and events with her friends. Sharon was an extremely talented seamstress and enjoyed color by number.  She spent her days in retirement with family, reading, and most importantly summers at the pool with her family and grandchildren. She loved to watch her family swim, laugh, and play along with all the furbabies, including her beloved precious dog Xander. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Downingtown.

An outdoor Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 25 at James J. Terry Funeral Home, Inc.,  736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown at 2:45 PM. An indoor visitation will be held from 1-2:30 PM inside of the funeral home. It is kindly requested that all guests wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
