Sarah Reilly Greer

Sarah Reilly Greer, 81, of Downingtown, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at her residence.

Born in Scotland, Sarah was the daughter of the late Catherine and James Reilly. She was the beloved wife of Samuel William Greer. The couple was married for 54 years.

Sarah was employed by Chester County Hospital, and later St. Martha’s Manor, where she had worked as a hostess. She had been a member of St. James Episcopal Church Downingtown, where she had taught Sunday School. She enjoyed bowling, and was a member of a bowling league for 25 years.

In addition to her husband, Sarah is survived by her son: Samuel Greer, husband of Sarah Wesner, of Philadelphia; brother: John Reilly; and grandchildren: Reilly, Grace, Amanda, and Ian.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Catherine Greer, and her siblings: Edward Reilly, Helen Reilly, and Mary Reilly Harkins.

A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown from 1:45-2:45 PM. It is kindly requested that all guests wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
