Samuel Segal, 88, of, Downingtown passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Simpson Meadows.

Born in Philadelphia, Samuel was the son of the late Louis Oscar and Sarah (Bell) Segal. He was the husband of Judy P. (Berkowitz) Segal. The couple shared 59 years of marriage.

Sam was a member of the Yeadon Jewish Community Center, B’nai B’rith International, and bowling leagues in Yeadon, Delaware County and Philadelphia. He enjoyed helping his wife by volunteering his time at the Downingtown Area Chamber of Commerce dinners serving mixed drinks for the members and guests. Sam also helped Judy in the ticket booth selling ride tickets during the annual carnival in Kerr Park.

In addition to his wife, Judy, Samuel is survived by their children: Alisa Loni Griffith of Bloomsbury, NJ, and Debra L. Stern, wife of Michael, of Exton, PA; grandchildren: Benjamin Griffith, Sarah, David, and Joshua Stern.

In addition to his parents, Samuel was preceded in death by his grandson: Christopher Griffith, brother: Alvin Segal; sister: Loretta Garber; son-in-law: Glenn.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 11-11:30 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be held at 2 PM at Montefiore Cemetery, 600 Church Rd., Jenkintown, PA. Luncheon to follow services from cemetery. Memorial contributions in Samuel’s name may be made to a charity of donors choice.
