Ross J. Davis

Ross J. Davis, 69, passed away unexpectedly at home on April 12, 2021.

Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Gerald and Stella Davis. Ross grew up on Long Island and attended and graduated from C.W. Post College earning a BA with a major in accounting. He began his accounting career in New York and then moved to Chester County, Pennsylvania in the early 1980’s. He worked for several firms and later joined the tax audit division of the Tennessee Department of Revenue where he was a Tax Auditor 2. He worked for the Department for over 22 years and was still working full time at the time of his death. Ross was a valued employee and was well liked by his co-workers.

Ross enjoyed all sports and especially liked to golf. He also enjoyed traveling and was aiming to visit every state in the country. Ross liked craft beers and loved to hang out with friends during Happy Hour. He could be quiet at times but on topics that really interested him, like different styles of beers, he could talk to anybody. Ross will be remembered for his easy going manner, his sincerity, and for the quick smile he gave everyone.

He is survived by his brother Lawrence and sister-in-law Daniela also of Chester County.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021, at 1 pm at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 East Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335. Internment will be at the Northwood Cemetery in Downingtown.
