Robert L. Yuninger

Robert L. Yuninger, 75, of West Brandywine Twp., passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Kindred Hospital in Havertown. He was the beloved husband of Gail Bean Yuninger, with whom he shared 30 years of marriage. 

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late E. Russell and Erma Johnson Yuninger.

Bob graduated from Conestoga High School—Lancaster in 1962 and earned a B.A. degree from Elizabethtown College in 1966 where he attended on a wrestling scholarship.  For 40 years he worked in insurance sales. Bob was an avid golfer and loved to read, garden and play cards.  He was a member of St. James Episcopal Church and served for two terms on the Vestry.  Above all, Bob loved his family, life and people. He would stop whatever he was doing to help someone in need. In 2011, Bob received the gift of a kidney transplant. In recent years he faced a multitude of health problems which he faced with strength and determination. He will always be remembered for his positive outlook

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Carrie Gilbert (Pete) of Coatesville, R. Christopher Yuninger (Julie) of Chambersburg, Amy Yuninger of Port Richey, FL and Kimberly Buccellato (Vincent) of Chester Springs and by six grandchildren, Rebecca and Joshua Gilbert, Caitlyn and McKenzie Yuninger and Christopher and Melissa Buccellato.  He was predeceased by his sisters, Ethel Book and Margaret Book and by his brother, John Yuninger.
