Robert Samuel Torrance

 Robert S. Torrance, 75, of Downingtown, PA stepped into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Monday, January 10, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, Robert was raised by his late grandmother and his late Aunt Mary and Uncle Bob. He was the beloved husband of Helen M. (Redner) Torrance. The couple shared 52 years of marriage.

Robert was a devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. After graduating from Overbrook high school, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served In Vietnam. He then was employed by PECO as an electrician for more than 48 years. 

He was a member of Faith Community Baptist Church, in Downingtown, where he served in many different areas. He enjoyed reading the Bible, spending time with his family, going to the beach, listening to oldies, and most of all seeing his grandchildren perform or play sports. He will be remembered for his faith in God and his love for his wife, sons, and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his three sons Michael Torrance, the husband of Danielle, of Coatesville, Scott Torrance, of Avondale, and James Torrance, the husband of Sarah, of New Holland; Grandchildren: Brady, Ashley Logan, Sophie, Ava, Trevor, Brody, Josiah, and Jeremiah.

The funeral will be held on Saturday January 15, 2022 at 10:00 am at Faith Community Baptist Church 1585 Glenside Rd., Downingtown PA 19335.
