On Saturday, October 26, 2019, Robert Francis Monaco passed away at the age of 74 at home in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania surrounded by family. He was the loving husband of 46 years to Margaret (nee Jacunski) Monaco, father to four, and doting grandfather to six.
Born and raised in Queens, New York, he was the son of George C. Monaco and Suzanne (Hirschland) Monaco. He graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1969 and made a career in Electrical Engineering. He is remembered especially for his remarkable gifts for problem solving, for fixing everything electrical and mechanical, and for his unshakeable patience in teaching and explaining those skills to others.
He is survived by wife Margaret, daughters Megan (Kevin) Lanier, Susan (Robert Marino) Monaco, Kristin (Matthew Egger) Monaco, and Allison (R. Wade Tomlinson) Monaco, 6 grandchildren, brothers James and George and sister Judith Callet.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 2 from 11:00 – 3:00 at the Radnor Hotel at 591 Lancaster Avenue in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
