Robert "Bob" T. Haley

February 25, 1948 ~ January 8, 2019 (age 70) 70 Years Old

Tribute

Robert Thomas Haley, passed away peacefully the night of January 8, 2019 at his home. Affectionately known as Bob, he was the son of the late Donald F. Haley Sr. and Marguerite Claire O’Hare. Bob was also the loving husband to Kathleen Haley (nee Mitchell).
Bob grew up and raised his own family in Upper Darby and worked for the United States Postal Service for thirty-eight years. After retiring he worked part-time for the Chester County Intermediate Unit (CCIU) and received an Associate’s Degree in Communications. He loved reading about History and enjoyed fly fishing in his spare time. He served honorably in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corp for which he was proud until his final days.
In addition to his wife, Kathy, Bob is survived by his Sister Eileen Mary Haley, Brother Don Francis Haley Jr., Children Robert Thomas Haley, Kristina Mary Early Haley, and Timothy Haley, and In-Laws Timothy Early, Amanda Heffron, and Inga Nielsen. He also left behind five grandchildren who affectionately called him G-Dad and meant the world to him. Tessa Grace Early, Jane Early, Kaitlyn Haley, Jackson Haley, and Victoria Haley.
A visitation for Bob will be held Friday, January 18, 2019, from 8:00am to 11:00am with church service to follow at the Coatesville Veterans Affairs Medical Center Chapel, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd, Coatesville, PA 19320.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s honor can be made to The Fisher House Foundation that builds comfortable homes where military and veteran’s families can stay free of charge, while a loved one is in the hospital.
