Richard E. “RiTch” Hansberry, 55, of Downingtown, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster. Born in Coatesville, RiTch was the son of Patricia (Taylor) Stine and Rich Stine, and the late Rick Hansberry. He was a 1987 graduate of Downingtown High School where he played on the football team.

RiTch was a lover of nature and animals. He was known to rescue any animal or creature he found in need. He was an avid Flyers and Eagles fan and enjoyed bowling and axe throwing. Everyone who knew RiTch, knew how much he loved ice hockey. He played on various teams and leagues and could not have found a better group of friends to play alongside of. RiTch’s final day was spent doing what he loved best, playing on the ice with his “Hockey Family”.

In addition to his mother, RiTch is survived by his sister, Tammy Klein and her husband, Kelly of Effort, PA. He is also survived by his nephews Mason and Jayden Klein, a close Uncle, Ron Taylor, and numerous extended family members.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023, from 9:30-11:15 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home: 736 E Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
