Ralph Davis Hannum Sr.

Ralph Davis Hannum, Sr., 88, of Elverson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at his home.  He was the husband of Mary Kathleen O’Connell Hannum, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Eva Gordon Hannum.

Ralph worked as an insurance agent for Prudential before retiring in 1998 after 19 years of service.  He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Church in Chester Springs where he was a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus.  He loved baseball, playing tennis, golfing and gardening. He was also on the recreation board of Wallace Township.

In addition to his wife, Ralph is survived by his four children, Glenn Hannum, Deborah Hannum, Holly Donohue (Shawn) and Eric Hannum (Colleen).  He was also survived by 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Patrisha, David, Craig, Stephanie, Warren, Cody, Tyler, Cara and Anna; 8 great grandchildren, Ben, Julia, Precious, Ava, Piper, Harper, Ryker and Wyatt; his two sister-in-laws, Nancy Killian and Mimi Rogge (Rich) and his brother--in-law John O'Connell.

Ralph was predeceased by his son, Ralph D. Hannum, Jr. and by his six siblings, Earl, Roland, Harold, Charlotte, Merle and Shirley.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs.

Interment will be private with the family.
