Peter F. Knebel

Peter F. Knebel, 63, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his home.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Cornelius and Eva Nemethy Knebel.

He was a 1973 graduate of Arch Bishop Carroll high school and 1977 graduate of Villanova. For the past decade, Pete was in the Purchasing Department of the County of Chester.

He enjoyed reading magazines about cars. He enjoyed doing gardening in his yard and spending quality time with his family and his dog Buddy. His favorite TV shows were Jeopardy and Wild Wild West. He also enjoyed music. He liked visiting State Parks and swimming.

He survived by his devoted wife of 31 years, Donna Knebel; two daughters, Candy Sharpless of Coatesville and Toni Lee Sharpless of Downingtown; four grandchildren, Dahlia, Tyrell, Isaiah and Breonna ; and one great granddaughter Toni.

He was proceeded in death by his sister Eva Hampton of Malverne NY.

The family will be receieving relatives and friends on Friday, May 24th from 9:30 to 10:45 am at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where his memorial service will be held at 11 am. Interment will be private.
