Paul Edward Moore, 71, of West Chester, PA, passed away on Thursday November 23, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family after a long brave and courageous battle with cancer.  Paul was born in Harrisburg, PA, April 18, 1946 to the late George and Anne (Hallman) Moore.

Paul graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School, Harrisburg, PA in 1964 and soon enlisted in the US Army where he served in Vietnam ’67-’68 and was stationed at White Sands Missile Range before being honorably discharged.  He was later employed by the Pennsylvania and West Virginia National Guard till ’81.  He was also graduate of Harrisburg Community College with an Associate in Science degree. 

Paul worked as a Systems Engineer and Project Manager for various data communication companies (Racal-Milgo, Infinet, Wiltel, NDC and CSC).

Paul loved spending time with his wife on their trawler boat, the “Alli J”, on the Chesapeake Bay in Rock Hall, MD and with his grandchildren; from teaching them to drive to helping them with the many interesting projects.  He also had a special love for the family dogs Zoey and Mya. 

Paul is survived and missed by his wife Betty, son Thomas and daughter Kimberly Barnes (Richard), brother Michael Moore and 5 grandchildren; David, Tyler, Allison Barnes and Thomas Jr. and Nicholas Moore.

Relatives and friends are invited to Paul’s funeral service on Thursday evening, November 30, viewing 6-8 PM, followed by a funeral liturgy at 8 PM at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in Paul’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
