Patricia Therese Weger

Patricia Therese (Fernandes) Weger, 93, of Exton, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2023 at Exton Senior Living, Exton.

Born in Georgetown, British Guyana, Patricia was the daughter of the late Maurice and Eileen (Comach) Fernandes. She was the wife of the late Karl Weger Jr., who passed away in 2007.

Before retiring, Patricia was employed as a manager for Middle States Tennis Association.  Patricia played Duplicate Bridge and was a Life Master in the American Contract Bridge League, she was a member of The Savoy Company of Philadelphia, a member of St. Isaac Jogues Parrish in Wayne and she loved to garden.

Patricia is survived by her children: Karen Christen, wife of James, of Downingtown, Karl Weger III, husband of Debbie, of Exton, and Carolyn Luther, wife of Scott, of Henderson, NC; grandchildren: Bryan Reese, Patricia Reese, Rachel Weger, and David Weger; great-grandchildren: Kayden Reese and Jett Reese.

In addition to her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by her siblings: Shelia Fernandes, Maureen Kacmarcik, Margaret Elliott, and Leslie Fernandes.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 9:45-10:45 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Patricia’s name may be made to the American Red Cross.
