Patricia Ann “Patty Ann” Scalia, 54, of Leola, PA, formerly of Downingtown, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born on March 17, 1964, in Teaneck, NJ, she was the daughter of Joan Castelli Scalia and the late Benedetto S. Scalia.
Patty Ann was a devoted daughter, loving sister and wonderful aunt. She shared her unconditional love with everyone she met. Patty Ann lived for many years at the Byerland group home in Lancaster County, and considered her housemates and staff to be family. In addition, Patty Ann loved to travel, especially to Florida and the Bahamas. She also enjoyed trips to casinos and putting jigsaw puzzles together.
In addition to her mother, Patty Ann is survived by two brothers: Ben A. Scalia and his wife Jean, and Thomas M. Scalia; and by three sisters: Maria Milianes and her husband Bill, Grace Reeves and her husband Bill, and Ginny Scalia. She is also survived by five nieces: Courtney, Jennifer, Annie Kate, Nina, and Kacey; four nephews: Nick, Benjamin, Will, and Matt; and by three great-nieces: Charlotte, Bridget, and Matilda. She was preceded in death by great-niece Adelyn Grace.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:15-10:15 a.m. in the church.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown.
