Miriam A. Pfluger

Miriam A. Pfluger, 87, of Coatesville, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at Green Meadows Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was the wife of Francis W. Pfluger, sharing 66 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia on May 27, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Rosalia (Hartdegan) Ziegler. Miriam graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic High School with the class of 1954. She went on to work in the medical field as an office manager for a large practice.  A long-time resident of Wayne Pennsylvania, and a member of St. Katherine of Siena Parish, she moved to the Villages at Hillview in 2005 and joined St. Peter Parish in West Brandywine.  While living in Wayne, Miriam was well known for her willingness to open her home to anyone whom God sent her way.  She enjoyed a full life, traveled frequently and lived for three years in London.  At Hillview she was a member of the Red Hat Group and of many of the various committees.

Surviving in addition to her husband Frank are her daughters Martha A. Reeves, wife of the late Joseph Reeves, of Collegeville, Miriam A. Adamo, wife of Carmen, of Chester Springs, and Jacqueline M. Coccia, wife of Christopher, of Paoli; grandchildren Shawna Reeder (Brook), Patrick Reeves (Carly), Laura Davis (Tim) and Emily Coccia (Caroline); and great grandchildren Cara Reeder and Olivia Good. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Melissa Gormley and sister Joan Ziegler.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 11 AM at Saint Peter Catholic Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, PA 19320. Visitation will be held from 9:45 – 10:45 AM prior to mass at the church. Interment will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
