Miles Henry Hannagan, 19, of Downingtown, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in Exton, as a result of a tragic automobile accident.
Born in New Castle, DE, he was the beloved son of Paul and Margaret Hannagan of Downingtown.
He was a 2013 graduate of 21st Century Cyber Charter School in Downingtown, and was a second-year student at West Chester University where he was majoring in chemistry and biology.
Miles was an active member of the Washington Memorial Pipe Band with whom he played the bass drum. He enjoyed bee keeping, a hobby which he used to earn the rank of Eagle Scout, and continued his involvement in Scouting with Venturing. For the past two years he served as a volunteer EMT with Good Fellowship Ambulance.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandmother, Joyce Callaghan; maternal grandfather, Patrick Callaghan and step-grandmother, Leonor Callaghan. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Charlotte.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 23rd, at St. Elizabeth Church, 100 Fellowship Road, Chester Springs. The family will receive guests beginning at 12:15 p.m. and ending promptly at 1:15 p.m. Interment will be private.
