Michael "Bird Dog" Davis, 65, of Ephrata, PA , formerly of Downingtown, passed away suddenly while on vacation in Chincoteague Island, VA on Friday, July 19th. He was the beloved husband of Patty M. Davis with whom they shared 40 years together.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Davis (Phil) of Ephrata and Michael Davis, Jr. (Kimberly) of Coatesville, four grandchildren, Jessica, Colin, and Emily Davis and Joseph Orr. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Davis. He is proceeded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia.
Mike was a graduate of Downingtown Senior High School, Class of 1972. He spent most of his life as a Maintenance Supervisor and a lifelong paper boy. He enjoyed watching the Phillies, loved trips to Walt Disney World, and to Chincoteague, Va. He had a love for good food, and one of his favorites was a hot Krispy Kreme donut, Tasty cakes and a cold coke. His greatest joy was his grandchildren. He had a large personality that could light up a room and anybody that had the privilege of knowing him, knew that he was always the center of attention and was the life of the party. Mike was a recent stroke and brain injury survivor. He was also a former Assistant Fire Chief of Minquas Fire Company.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday July 27, 2019 at 1:30 pm at the James J. Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown where friends may visit from 12 noon to 1:15 pm.
