Michael Nastasi Sr

Michael Nastasi Sr, 51, of Downingtown, Pennsylvania (and also West Islip, NY for 20 years) went to a better place on September 1st, 2021 due to Hurricane Ida. Michael was a true hero; he died on the way to save his wife from the flash flood storm. He was always saving her from anything, especially when she got lost (which happened more often than you think).

A loving husband of Donna, and loving father of Kate and Michael Jr, and the list goes on for all of his friends (insert all friends names here). A retired NYPD officer, lacrosse coach, an entrepreneur for a little bit, student driving instructor and last work being with CBRE, he was truly a working man living his version of the “American dream”. The list goes on for his accomplishments; we would be here for another lifetime if we noted all of his work history and achievements.

Michael was the guy who you always wanted to be around. His obnoxious laugh was felt and adored by all. His sarcasm too, was adored by all (most of the time). Michael’s love for his wife and kids was everlasting, but so was his love for golf. If you asked him what his favorite thing to do was, it was either playing golf with his son, or watching the Dallas Cowboys (probably lose) also with his son. His wife Donna would also joke about how he could finish an entire book before she was even on page 20 of hers.

Some of Michael’s favorite artists included 311, Sublime, Radiohead, Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Chris Cornell. He was always the DJ of the group, playing all his favorite songs without a care if anyone else even enjoyed what he was playing. A golfer, reader, Cowboys fan, music fanatic, Harry Potter loving 6’2 man full of absolute love and joy.

His daughter, Kate always said, “How come I didn’t get your beautiful blue eyes?”  Michael and his beautiful blue eyes will never be forgotten. Please keep the Nastasi Family always in your thoughts and prayers.
