Michael Herman Kasper, 77, of Downingtown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 1, 2021, surrounded by his loving family, priest and Deacon at his home.

He was born on November 4, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Herman Joseph Kasper and Margaret Davey Kasper.

Michael married Patricia Joyce Kasper in October 1980. They were married for 40 wonderful years.  Mike received his higher education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio and later he received his MBA from Drexel University.

He worked for the railroad system for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He finished his career working for the Conrail system, retiring in 1997.

Mike was very active at his parish of Saint Elizabeth in Upper Uwchlan. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 13141 and fourth degree assembly 1873 and the Color Corps.

He was very active in the kidney Cancer Association.  Michael mentored other kidney cancer patients on their journey.

Mike will be remembered for being a kind, gentle, loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.  In downtime he enjoyed working in his beautiful yard, playing with his Grand girls, skiing and fine dining .

In addition to his wife, Pat, Mike is survived by his son, Kevin Michael Kasper and his wife Kaitlyn Thompson Kasper.  Michael was the proud grandfather of Claire Marie and Julia Florence.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and he will be missed by all.

In addition to his parents, Mike was predeceased by his son, Gregory Michael Kasper; his brother Bernard Kasper, his sisters Phyllis Kasper Costello and her husband, James Costello and Barbara Kasper O’Maley and her husband James  O’Maley .

Relatives and friends are invited to a short visitation on Monday, July 12 from 8:45 to 9:45 at Saint Elizabeth Parish Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs, followed by a memorial mass at 10:00 AM.
