Melissa Anne Gormley

Melissa Anne Gormley, 34, of Chester Springs, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved fiancé of David A. Good.

Born in Bryn Mawr, she was the daughter of Miriam A. Adamo and the step daughter of Carmelo Adamo.

She spent her early years growing up in Wayne and Phoenixville, and later moved to Coatesville. Melissa inspired warmth and hope to everyone she met. Her smile was contagious, and she was rarely seen not wearing one. Melissa was by no means a trained vocalist, but when she sang, she did so with her whole heart. Her love for her daughter was rivaled only by her love for dogs, and spent many hours volunteering at shelters across the community. She loved beer and ice cream, and hated littering and able bodied people parking in Handicap spots (and was not afraid to confront them about it). She was a seasoned world traveler, but her favorite place in the whole entire world was the Outer Banks. 

In addition to her fiancé, mother and stepfather, Melissa is survived by her daughter, Olivia M. Good; her sister, Laura M. Davis (Timothy W.); maternal grandparents, Frank and Miriam Pfluger; her dogs, Molly and Dexter and by her cousins, extended relatives and numerous friends.  

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 13, 2020 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 1060 W. Lincoln Highway, COATESVILLE.  Family and friends will be received from 9:00-10:30 a.m.

Interment will be private with the family.
