Mary Ann Glisson, 75, of Glenmoore, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Chesapeake Regional Hospital in Chesapeak, Virginia. She was the beloved wife of the late George T. Glisson, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2013.

Born in Honesdale, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Edward S. and Doris Johnson Guinther.

Mrs. Glisson was a long-time parishioner of St. Peter Church in West Brandywine Twp., where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years. She was an avid bowler, competing in many leagues at the Downingtown Bowling Palace and she enjoyed traveling with her loving partner, Fred Calhoun. Most of all, she was a loving mother and grandmother, and she loved spending time and help raise her grandchildren.

In addition to her loving partner, Mrs. Glisson is survived by her four children, Kathy Glisson of Severville, TN, Todd Glisson (Daenna) of Honey Brook, Tracy Glisson (Kim) of Chester Springs and Stephanie Grippe (Anthony), of Collegeville; and grandsons, Luca and Sebastian Grippe.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at St. Peter Church, 2835 Manor Rd., West Brandywine, where family and friends may call from 9 to 10:45 AM.

Interment will be at the Forks of the Brandywine Cemetery, Glenmoore.
