Mary E. Paumen, 61, of Valley Township, PA, passed away on Monday, April 30, 2018.
Mary was born in Cleveland, OH, to the late Richard T. and Geraldine Paumen.
Mary lived in Chester County, PA for almost 50 years. In 1979, Mary graduated from University of Pennsylvania and obtained her master’s degree in Urban Planning. Mary worked in community development for 40 years and represented the United States in many foreign conferences including Poland and Turkey. Mary was the first Chair of the NAHRO International Committee. Mary was also a member of several township planning commissions within Chester County. Mary’s last position was as Vice President for Training and Development Associates. Mary was also passionate about Philadelphia sports teams.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents.
Mary is survived by her brothers; Richard (Cindy) and Mathew Paumen (Lisa), sisters; Lisa Gardo (Bob) and Gerry Anne Cauler (James Malone), nephews; Jeffrey, Tom (Jess), Richard L, Richard W, and Mackenzie; nieces Maria (Doug) and Madeline; grand-nieces; Rylee and Evelynn, and many friends.
Mary will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to Mary’s services on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, where friends may visit from 1:00PM-1:30PM, followed a liturgy service at 1:30PM. Interment will be private.
