Martin “Marty” Stein, age 83, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017. Marty was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA to the late Benjamin L. and Bertha (Leshner) Stein.
A gentle soul, Marty never chose to argue, and neither race nor religions were considered in a friendship. As a youngster, he was a baseball player and could throw a fast ball. Marty took up golfing and skiing with his wife Dorothy. Together, they enjoyed many cruises. Marty shared many vacations and many celebrations with his brother in law Neil and his wife Karen.
Marty is survived and missed by the love of his life Dorothy (Lawley) Stein, who shared 48 years together, two sons; Dennis (Linda) and Lorin (Carol), daughter Geral Stein, two grandchildren Katie and Christopher, who Marty adored, sister Marci (Richard) Tretler and nephew and niece Jon and Betsy, whom Marty shared a special bond with. Marty will be forever missed and loved.
