Marnie Anne Shea-Panetti

Marnie Anne Shea-Panetti, 54 of Downingtown PA, passed away on September 22 in her home, surrounded by her friends and family following a long battle with breast cancer. As an active and dedicated participant of the Calvary Fellowship Church, she lived a life in Christ.  She viewed loving and guiding her family as the most important mission in her life and embraced it daily. Marnie was always supportive and available for friends, and many sought out her companionship. She never forgot a birthday or missed an opportunity to tell you that she was thinking about you.

Marnie graduated from Delaware County Christian School in 1982. A 1991 graduate of West Chester University, she was a Teacher and Speech Therapist with the Chester County Intermediate Unit from 2009 to 2015.  She provided guidance and therapy to children throughout Chester and Delaware Counties for over 30 years. Whether baking, cooking, teaching or providing emotional support, Marnie did it from the heart. 

She is survived by her husband, James J. Panetti 57, and four children Joshua Panetti 25, Samuel Panetti 23, Grace Panetti 21, and Emma Panetti 17.  Additionally, she is survived by three siblings, Kim Shea, Pam Holler and Tom Shea, and her mother, Patricia Shea.

In her short amount of time here on Earth, Marnie made a difference in the lives she touched that will last forever. We all have a hole in our hearts, however, there is a comfort in knowing that she has passed on to be with her loved ones who have gone before her and in knowing that she is pain free and is not battling cancer anymore.  She has won the war.

A Memorial Service, a Celebration of Marnie’s Life, will be held at the Calvary Fellowship Church located at 95 W Devon Dr, Downingtown, PA 19335 on Friday October 18th at 11:00 AM, to be followed by a reception.
