Margaret D. Eaton

Margaret D. Eaton, 96, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Holy Family Home in the loving care of the Little Sisters of the Poor in Philadelphia. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis X. Eaton, who passed away in 2004.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Margaret Murphy Decker.

Margaret was a 1943 graduate of West Catholic Girls’ High School along with her lifelong Friend Elizabeth M Sheils, also deceased at the age of 96. She was a longtime resident of Briarcliffe (Glenolden) PA and Our Lady of Fatima Parish in Secane PA. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She and her husband also enjoyed their Pinochle Group which included husband and wife teams of the Decker, Sheils and Higgins Families.

Margaret is survived by her son, Francis J.X. (Joanne) Eaton; three daughters, Dr. Margaret M. Eaton, Patricia Weber and Anne Zalewski and six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph A. Decker.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown where family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be held privately with the family in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
