Margaret Capriotti

Margaret Sciarretta Capriotti, 88, of Downingtown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born in Downingtown, PA to the late Joseph and Mary Sciarretta.

For several years she was employed by the Downingtown School District. She resided with her husband “Joe Joe” in Downingtown, PA until moving to St. Martha Villa. For the last 8 years, Margaret volunteered at the Lords Pantry. She was an active member of Saint Joseph’s church and member of St. Anthony’s Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, E. Brandywine Fire Co. Auxiliary and PA Association of School Retirees. Margaret enjoyed traveling and in her early years played the piano and organ at area functions. In her spare time, she loved baking, sewing, going for walks, watching Phillies and Eagles games and doing word puzzles.  She cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Margaret is preceded in death by her late husband Joseph “Joe Joe” Capriotti to whom she was married to for 56 years. 

Margaret is survived by her children; Sharon A. Donato (James), Andrea M. Capriotti, Chris A. Dague (Jeffrey), Joseph P. Capriotti (Rebecca), and Kelly A. Ramaley(Brian),  grandchildren; Amanda (Chad Quivers) and Justin Donato, Danilo and Austin Perez, Brandon and Christopher Dague, Dylan Ramaley, Sarah Elias, Erin Mays, Cory Butler, and Jimmy Rhoades, great grandchildren; Natalie, Carter, Adeline, and Rhiannon, Mason, Sophia, William, Lillian, Jaxson, Emmerson, and Bennett, sister; Theresa Gospodarek, and many loving extended family members and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019 at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA. Family and friends will be received from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Downingtown, PA.
