Louis J. Evangelista Jr.

Louis J. Evangelista Jr passed away on Thursday February 28th at the age of 58 after a 19 year battle with brain cancer.  He was in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones.

He is survived by his wife Robin of 35 years, his daughter Nicole (Andy) Hieb, his son Louis, his daughter Danielle and his granddaughter Brooke and brothers John and Tom Evangelista. 

Born in Abington, Pa. he is the son of Norma Ross Evangelista and the late Louis J. Evangelista Sr. 

Lou was a 1983 graduate of Drexel University and went on to get his master’s in Business Administration from Penn State University.  Lou was an active member in the Boy Scouts of America, most recently involved in Troop 48.  He was awarded the Vigil Honor Order of the Arrow, which is the highest award you can receive from Order of the Arrow.

His hobbies included home renovations, puzzles, watching Nascar and car repairs.  He enjoyed spending time at Camp Horseshoe, Camp Ware as well as at his family’s vacation house in the Poconos.  What he enjoyed most of all was spending time with his granddaughter Brooke.

He had a one of a kind sense of humor that will be remembered by his family and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday March 6th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown.  Visitation is from 9:15 am to 10:45 am followed by his funeral service at 11:00 am.
