Loretta Aynardi Dinacci, 79, of Glenmoore, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 12, 2019, surrounded by her family. Loretta was born in Aliquippa, PA to the late Nellie and Robert Aynardi.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Louis Dinacci, where they resided in Glenmoore for the last 40 years. Loretta enjoyed traveling, cooking, Penn State Football, the Jersey Shore and spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren.
After graduating from Pennsylvania State University in 1961, Loretta moved to New York City and began a career with the New York Journal American as a Food Editor where she worked and lived for five years. She met Lou at the Journal where they began their life’s journey together. They lived in Tennessee and Michigan before moving to Pennsylvania. She devoted her time to her children while they were growing up and then re-entered the workforce until she retired in 2008. She spent time with her family as an avid youth sports spectator of her grandchildren’s events, reading, doing Sodoku puzzles and working on a family cookbook.
Loretta is survived by her children, Karen Walsh (James), Dina Dinacci, Marc Dinacci (Amy), Danielle Dinacci (Brett Canna), along with 9 grandchildren, Matthew Dinacci, Michael Dinacci, Nicholas Dinacci , Anna Dinacci, Ryan Walsh, Jack Walsh, Quinn Walsh, Blaise Canna and Vaughn Canna. She is also survived by her sister Marian Jackman (Donnie), and her brother David Aynardi (Kathy), along with numerous cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Calling hours will be at the James Terry Funeral home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335, from 10am-11:45am, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Interment private.
