Lindsey Ames "Chip" Nye III

Lindsey Ames "Chip" Nye III, 58, passed away the afternoon of Monday, April 19, 2021 at his home. Chip was the son of the late Lindsey Nye Jr. and Kathleen Vallis. He was also husband of 32 years to Kelley Ann (Leary) Nye.

Chip dedicated 35+ years of his life to working at the Eagle Tavern in Chester Springs. During those years, he met so many people who grew to love his welcoming smile and sense of humor.

One of Chip’s favorite ways to spend a day off was on the golf course. He also enjoyed watching Philly sports - especially the Flyers.

In addition to his wife Kelley, Chip is survived by his two daughters, Elizabeth Kathleen and Allison Marie; as well as his three sisters; Priscilla Green, Cynthia Bechtol and husband, Ron Bechtol, and Amy Winkopp.

Along with his parents, Chip is preceded in death by his brother-in-law’s; Ronald Green and William Winkopp.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Chip would want everyone to support their local restaurants as they open back up, and tip generously.
