Linda Lees DiJulia, 71, of West Chester formerly of Exton, Downingtown and Roxborough, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, at her residence beside her husband, daughters and son.
Born in Philadelphia, Linda was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Mildred Lees, and sister of Bob. Linda and her beloved husband Richard T. (Rich) DiJulia shared 48 wonderful years of marriage, along with their daughters Mindy Hughes and her husband Brian, Carrie DiJulia and her husband Scott Pratt, their son Rich DiJulia Jr. and their four grandchildren: Alex, Ben, Julia, and Katelyn, and her many friends and loved ones including Sandy, the Beck Family, Elwood and so many others.
Linda and Rich loved sharing their home as houseparents to 15 teenage girls. After being a stay-at-home mom, Linda re-entered the work place helping others at the YMCA and later retired as a Career Counselor/Recruiter at West Chester University. She was a member of St. Joseph Church Downingtown. She shared many of her hobbies including ping pong, darts, basketball, pickelball, horseshoes, playing cards and scrabble, puzzles, sewing, crafting, and helping others over the years. A good day for Linda was wearing blue or plaid and sharing ice cream treats with family and friends at the beach... before saying her goodnight prayers.
A celebration of life will be held once COVID allows. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation (click here) or the American Diabetes Association (click here). Linda is remembered as a kind, selfless, beautiful person who loved being with people who made everyone around her feel special.
