Leo S. Cognetti

Leo S. Cognetti, 90, of Exton, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Jean D. Rossi Cognetti with whom he shared 65 years of marriage.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Frank and Helen Cognetti.

Leo proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He worked for IBM and retired as a Finance Controller after 34 years of service.  He was a dedicated family man who absolutely loved spending time with them.

In addition to his wife, Leo is survived by his two sons, Leo J. Cognetti and his wife Lee Ann and Thomas J. Cognetti; a sister, Mary Petriello and her husband John; five grandchildren, Jade M. Mukri, Derek T. Cognetti, Leo S. Cognetti, Gianna L. Cognetti and Maria C. Cognetti; two great grandchildren, Charly Cognetti and Natalia Mukri and by 24 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 5 brothers and a sister.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, July 20, 2019, at St. Elizabeth Church, 100 Fellowship Road, Chester Springs, Pa.  Family and friends will be received from 11:00 – 11:45 A.M.

Interment will be private with the family in Scranton, Pa.
