Leila Mae Kirkhoff, 81, of Angier, North Carolina, formerly of Charlotte, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh.
Born on July 16, 1938 in Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Chester G. and Elsie A. (Dahms) Kirkhoff.
Leila was a graduate of Warwick High School - Class of 1955, as well as Peirce School of Business in Philadelphia.
She worked as an accountant for over 50 years, most recently for Carriage Cleaners in Charlotte.
Leila was a proud Mom and Grammy. She idolized her father, loved the outdoors, and was an avid water skier. She was an incredibly strong woman who was independent, self-motivated, extremely hard working, and very selfless.
Leila is survived by her son, Curtis Garrett Kirkhoff and his wife, Lily; grandson, Cayden Gabriel Kirkhoff; sister, Janet Kirkhoff Favinger-Dooley; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Gouldner and Linda Kirkhoff Fox.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 24th at 10:30 AM at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown.
Interment to follow at Nantmeal United Methodist Church Cemetery in Glenmoore.
