Kyle Patrick Carey, age 18, of Chester Springs, passed away on Thursday, February 22, 2018.
 
Born in Paoli, he was the son of Sue and Todd Carey, who raised and nurtured him as their second of four children. 
 
After graduating from Downingtown High School East in 2017, Kyle attended the University of Oklahoma and was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity.
 
Kyle, one of the most laid-back guys you would know, loved football (Fly Eagles, Fly!), fishing, golfing, basketball, weight lifting and playing pranks on his parents with his siblings. The family would overhear him singing to Rap and Country in the living room.  He dreamed big with plans to retire by 30 and live the easy life.  He enjoyed summer camp at Sankanac and giving back through Habitat for Humanity. His friends were one of the most important parts of his life along with the extended support of neighbors.
 
In addition to his parents, Kyle is survived by his siblings Grace, Ryan and Lauren and the family dog, Lucy.  He is also survived by a large extended family of his paternal grandmother, six aunts, six uncles, and fourteen cousins. Kyle relished the annual Memorial Day vacation in the PA mountains fishing, riding motorcycles and hiking with the family.
 
An evening viewing will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave, Downingtown and again from 9-10 a.m., Friday, March 2, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
 
Interment will be private with the family.
