Kenneth James “Ken” Martin, Sr., 63, of Coatesville, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Chester County Hospital. He was the husband of Donna L. (Cheyne) Martin, sharing 39 years of marriage.

Born in Doylestown on November 23, 1958, he was the son of the late Richard A. and Margaret (Lewis) Martin. Ken graduated from CB West High School and was an entrepreneur in his younger years before most recently driving for Suburban Propane.

In his thirties, Ken became a dedicated follower of Jesus and did everything he could to make Jesus known. Ken was very active in the church, where he served as a Lay Pastor, often helping with home visitations and preaching at nursing homes. He was also on the worship team, taught Sunday School and was involved in Men’s Bible Studies. Ken served with the youth as a Scout Leader with Pack 219 and Troop 48 of East Fallowfield. He also volunteered as a coach for Upward Basketball and a variety of Bible camps. Ken was also known to frequent thrift stores and yard sales, always finding a good bargain. He loved visiting local state parks, watching sunsets and being outdoors. He most especially loved his house in Bethany Beach, Delaware, hosting friends and family, and spending time on the beach and fishing.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children Kenneth James “Jimmy” Martin, Jr. of New Holland, Kyle Martin, husband of Hannah of Scranton, Kimberly Martin of Downingtown; grandsons Connor Martin and Lewis Martin; brothers Richard Martin, Jr. “Ricky”, Craig Martin, Scott Martin and sister Tammy Thompson, wife of Ron.
