Kathleen R. Vogelgesang

Kathleen R. Vogelgesang, 94, formerly of Berwyn passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023 surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Donald L. Vogelgesang Sr. with whom she shared 65 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2018.

Born in Birmingham, England, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Ann Turner Rouse, and the step daughter of Sarah Rouse.

Those who knew Kathleen loved and cherished the time spent with her, sharing stories, a cup of tea or a warm piece of scone with a “little butter” .

She held many roles in her family as wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; but those who loved her, will always remember her as “Ma”.

Kathleen was called home to reunite with her husband, son and grandson. Her family will best remember her gentle but infectious laugh, and her constant reminders to call or come visit after just spending time with her.

Kathleen is survived by seven children, Patrick (Linda) Vogelgesang, Catherine (Robert) Miller, Elizabeth (Peter) Gracia, William Vogelgesang, John Vogelgesang, Maryann (Michael) Javie and Paul (Maryann) Vogelgesang; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a son, Donald L. Vogelgesang, Jr.; a grandson, Sean Vogelgesang and by a brother, Joseph A. Rouse.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 1, 2023 at St. Monica Church, 63 Main Avenue, Berwyn, Pa.  Family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in The Baptist Church in the Great Valley Cemetery, Devon.
