Kathleen "Kathy" Lois Kilgarif

Kathleen “Kathy” Lois Kilgarif, 69, passed away peacefully with her brother at her side the night of Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Penn Presbyterian Neurosurgery ICU.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 21, 1952 to the late Joseph M. Kilgarif Sr. and Lois Kilgarif (nee Tyre), Kathleen lived in Mayfair until 1963 where she attended St. Bernard’s Elementary as well as St. Simon and Jude school in Westtown. Kathleen was a graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School class of 1970. She then earned her BSN at Gwynedd Mercy School of Nursing in 1975. 

Kathleen worked in the nursing field throughout her life, and had recently retired from Penn Medical. Kathleen’s loved ones would like to thank Uwchlan Township EMS, the medical teams at Chester County, and the 5th Floor Neurosurgery ICU for the compassionate and loving care they had for Kathy’s entire family.

She is survived and remembered by her brother and sister-in-law, as well as two nephews and their wives, great nieces and nephews and a longtime friend.

Services will be held privately with Kathleen’s family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathleen’s honor have been asked to be made to the Vasculitis Foundation or the American Lung Foundation.
