Joseph I. Vasile

Joseph I. Vasile, 84, of Chester Springs, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Reba C. Vasile, with whom he shared 27 years of marriage prior to her passing in 1984 and of the late Jane H. Vasile, with whom he shared 29 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2015.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph I. and Florence Pfeffer Vasile.

Joe proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and then went on to work for Campbell Soup Company and then retiring as an accountant for Pepperidge Farm. He was an avid outdoorsman and supported many open space and conservancy groups.

Mr. Vasile is survived by his two daughters, Joann Hawk (William) and Linda Feeney (Christopher); 3 step-children, Henry Evans, Jr. (Barbara Bodager), Pamela E. King (Vining Sherman) and Scott D. Evans (Ann Rourke); a brother, James Vasile; 3 grandchildren, Lorraine, Daryl and Phillip Hawk and by 6 step-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018, at Calvary Chapel, 217 Dowlin Forge Road, Exton. Interment will be private with the family.
