Joseph M. Matonti, IV

October 31, 1981 ~ November 15, 2021 (age 40) 40 Years Old

Tribute

A beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Joseph M. Matonti, IV left this world unexpectedly on Monday, November 15, 2021. Due to a sudden and devastating brain aneurysm, Joe lost his life at the young age of 40 years old.

Born October 31, 1981 at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby, Pennsylvania, Joe was the oldest son of Deborah Zavorski and the late Joseph M. Matonti, III.

He graduated from Coatesville High School in 2000 and followed in his father’s footsteps; entering into the Local 13 Boilermakers Union where he worked for over twenty years. More recently, Joe had been working along side his brother, Stephen, strengthening their bond and building a family business - Stephen Matonti Heating & Cooling.

Joe married the love of his life, Allison Davis, on August 20, 2011 and instantly created a family with daughter, Madison McCormick. Joe and Ali proceeded to welcome three additional children to their family - Joseph M Matonti, V (9), Anthony Geno Matonti (6), and Maycie James Matonti (4).

He was a lover of hip-hop music, specifically Wu-Tang. He also had an eye for fashion, always matching a fresh fitted hat to his ever-growing sneaker and jersey collection.

Joe became an instant friend to all who knew him, and was fiercely loyal to his family. His wife and children meant absolutely everything to him, as many have witnessed how immensely he adored them.

In addition to his wife, children and mother, Joe is also survived by his sisters, Becky and Sammy Matonti, Caitlin (Derek) Mowday; brother, Stephen (Marissa); maternal grandfather, Stephen Zavorski; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and FDR friend group, who were all his brothers.

Joe was also proceeded in death by his paternal grandfather Joseph M Matonti II, paternal grandmother Irene Matonti, and maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Zavorski.

When you think of Joe, celebrate the good memories you have of him. Remember that life is fragile and short, and should be lived full of passion and love, just as Joe did.

A visitation will be held from 9 to 10:30 am on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at James J. Terry Funeral Home - Valley Township Location, 1060 W. Lincoln Highway, Coatesville, where Joe's Funeral Liturgy will begin at 11 am.
