Joseph Angelo Marchese III, 75, of Chester Springs, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. He was the husband of Marie (Chandler) Marchese.

Born in Camden, NJ on November 9, 1946, he was the son of the late Joseph Angelo Marchese, Jr. and Julia Josephine (Santoro) Marchese. Joe graduated from Camden Catholic High School, and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee, where he was a member of the Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity. Joe went on to work as an Executive Director for the Garrett Buchanan Paper Company. Prior to moving to Pennsylvania 16 years ago, he lived his whole life in New Jersey. There he was a member of Medford Village Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf. In his younger years, he also liked to play basketball and tennis. After retirement, Joe worked at Home Depot in Frazer for the past 11 years. He always enjoyed spending time at the beach, especially in Florida.

Surviving in addition to his wife Marie are his children Chris Marchese, husband of Loree, of Gap, PA, Laurie Hirshfield, wife of Marc, of Inlet Beach, FL and Joseph Marchese IV, husband of Jennifer, of Collegeville, PA; grandchildren Michael, Cassandra, Jacquelyn, Evan, Brent, Aubrey and Carter; and a sister Mary Lou McDowell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, 120 St. Elizabeth Drive, Chester Springs, PA 19425. Viewing will be held from 8:30 AM – 9:45 AM prior to the mass at church. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
