Joseph M. Farnum, 78, of Downingtown, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Bryn Mawr Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of Betty A. (nee Cortelessa) Farnum with whom he shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Coatesville, Joe was the son of the late Joseph and Lottie Farnum.
Mr. Farnum was a graduate of West Chester Schools and was retired from G.O Carlson where he worked for 25 years before retiring in 2000.
Joe was an avid hunter & fisherman.
In addition to his wife Betty, Mr. Farnum is survived by children, Debbie Brady, Lori Taraschi (Philip), Scott (Keryn), and Keith (Sherry). He is also survived by his grandchildren, John and Justin Brady, Dylan and Danielle Mowday, Conner, Cody and Wesley Farnum, Reece and Brock Farnum.
He was predeceased by his son-in-law, John Brady, and daughter-in-law, Karen Farnum.
A memorial service for Mr. Farnum will take place on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:30 am at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown where friends may visit from 9 to 10:15 am.
Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38015.
