John “Jack” Brautigam, Jr., 66, passed away on Sunday February 14, 2021 at Paoli Hospital. He is the loving husband of Teresa “Linda” Brautigam with whom he spent 43 years of marriage.
Born in Chester County, PA he is the son of Joe Brautigam and the late Marva Brautigam. Jack was a skilled commercial contractor and worked for Martinelli Interior for the past 7 years.
Jack will always be remembered for cooking brunch on Christmas Day. It wasn’t often that you would see him without a hat on. He loved every moment he had in the woods hunting. Jack also enjoyed playing pool and Nintendo golf. He was a dedicated father even as he endured the moods of a household of women. He was an excellent softball coach, and mentor. Jack loved spending time with his friends and family and was always willing to step in and lend a hand.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Brautigam; 4 daughters: Krista Barnhardt, Alyssa Laber (spouse James Laber), Trisha Brautigam, and Marlena Muldowney (spouse Matthew Muldowney); sisters, Dawn E. Simon (spouse Ken) and Shivoan Brautigam (spouse Chris); and 8 grandchildren: Carissa Walker, Corbin Walker, Jocelyn Laber, Sophia Laber, Chase Broderick, Christopher Broderick, Jr., Colton Broderick, and Matthew Muldowney, Jr.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at James Terry Funeral home in Valley Township, 1060 West Lincoln Highway, Valley Township, PA from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm on Tuesday February 23rd. The family asks for visitation to be brief to limit the number of people in the building due to COVID restrictions.
