John J. Poloncsak

John J. Poloncsak, 82, of Downingtown PA, passed away the evening of Friday, June 12, 2020 at Kadima Rehabilitation in Pottstown. John was the son of the late John and Elizabeth Poloncsak, and the loving husband of 57 years to Lucille Poloncsak (nee Bakos). John was born and lived most of his life in Carteret, NJ.  He was a proud Marine, enlisting in the Core at age 18 to serve our country.    He had a lifetime passion for sports, participating in high school football, basketball, baseball and track.  He later coached in the local pop warner football league and for many years officiated high school track meets. He also enjoyed playing golf for many years. After retiring in 2000, John worked part time as a substitute teacher in the Carteret public school system until moving to Pennsylvania in 2007. 

In addition to his wife, Lucille, John is survived by his children; John S. and his wife Teresa, his son Glen, his grandson David, his sister Ethel Capik, and his nieces and nephews and their families.  In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by; his daughter Lori C Becker and sister Elizabeth Chiszar.
