John Vincent Colona, 60 of Chester Springs, passed away peacefully after a long fight on September 24, 2017.

John was born on October 17, 1956 and resided in Chester Springs for most of his life. He spent his life pursuing his passion for heavy and Highway contracting. John had a smile that was contagious and lit up a room as soon as he walked in. He enjoyed spending time laughing with his friends and family.

He leaves behind a wife, Anita (Formerly Dreher); four children, Vincent, Jeanette, Andrew and Rachael. His mother Dolores (Formerly Gleba), a sister Lisa and a brother Mark, 6 nephews and 2 nieces. He is predeceased by his father Vincent S. Colona.

An evening viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown.

A morning viewing will be held on Thursday, from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at SS. Philip and James Church, 107 N. Ship Road, Exton, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be private with the family.
