Joanne Louise Fritz

Joanne Louise Fritz, age 72, of West Chester, PA passed from this life on January 1, 2021.

Joanne was born in Clifton Heights, PA on December 20, 1948.  She was the oldest child of Gladys and Joseph Felice of Lincoln University, PA and the eldest granddaughter of John and Ada Hash, of Thornton, PA.  She leaves behind her daughter Jennifer Fritz and her siblings Jean Callazzo, Mary Jennings, Helen Racoosin and Joseph Felice.  She will be dearly missed also by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Since her graduation from Avon Grove High School, West Grove, PA  in 1967, Joanne devoted her life to serving and caring for others.  She worked at several hospitals and nursing homes within PA but spent the major part of her career employed as a Home Health Care Personal Aide with the goal of enabling the people she cared for "to stay in and enjoy their own homes for as long as possible".

Joanne loved the outdoors, gardening, birds, cooking, and crafting.  She especially loved all types of music and was always singing to some favorite song.  Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  We shall miss her giving and caring personality and her wonderful sense of humor.

Due to COVID-19, a graveside service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Philadelphia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixville Pike, Frazer, PA 19355.  All guests are requested to wear face masks.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite #250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
