Joan Fitzgerald

Joan Fitzgerald, 93, passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at St. Martha Manor in Downingtown, Pennsylvania.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Fitzgerald, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2003.

Born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut, Joan was the daughter of the late Roy and Marie Sitters Velte and a 1943 graduate Crosby High School.

Residing in Connecticut for over 80 years, she moved to New Jersey in 2010 and then to Pennsylvania in 2015, where she spent her last years close to her son.

Joan enjoyed life to the fullest; traveling with her husband and seeing a lot of the world.

Mrs. Fitzgerald is survived by her children, Ronald Beebe, Sr. of Downingtown, David Beebe of North Carolina, and Bev Beebe of Oregon.

Services and interment will be held privately for the family.
