JoAnn (Liscosky) Tarrant, 73, of Thorndale, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at her residence.
Born in Detroit, MI, JoAnn was the daughter of the late Leo and Ethel (Sheftz) Liscosky. She was the beloved wife of David Mushrush. The couple shared 26 years of memories.
JoAnn was a Licensed Professional Counselor and had her own private practice. She served as a member of the Brandywine Health Foundation, Coatesville Youth Initiative, American Red Cross, Disaster Mental Health Services, Crime Victims Center of Chester County, Crisis & Intervention Center, Critical Incident Stress Management and Caln Township Youth Aid Panel. She was also involved with the Exton Little League, and a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, Coatesville.
JoAnn’s most treasured gifts were her 12 wonderful grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, JoAnn is survived by her children: Michele Maggs of Lancaster, Mark Maggs, husband of Janelle, of Reading, Brian Maggs, husband of Aimee, of East Fallowfield Township, and Kevin Maggs, Jr., husband of Kristin, of West Chester. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Heather, Meghan, Keith, Graham, Ayden, Chase, Peyton, Skylar, Kacey, Keagan, Mackenzie, and Jayden.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her sister, Dolly Curley.
An Outdoor Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 29 at 11 AM at James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown. A visitation will be held from 9:45-10:45 AM. It is kindly requested that all guests wear face coverings and practice social distancing.
