Jeanne A. Hillenbrand

Jeanne A. Hillenbrand, 98, of Coatesville, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 23, 2021 at her home.  She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Hillenbrand, who passed away in 1980.

Born in Johnstown, she was the daughter of the late Harry S. and Blanche Barbara Pender Follmar.

Jeanne was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in West Chester for over 60 years.  She was a long-time member of the Betsy Ross Doll and Toy Club and the West Chester Senior Center.  She also served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years.  Jeanne worked as a nurse for Chester County Hospital and then the Pocopson Home for many years.  She also worked for the Chester County A.A.A.

She is survived by her four children, Robert D. Hillenbrand (Susan), Harriett H. Brown (Paul), Kathryn L. Darnell (David) and Barbara J. Hillenbrand; sister-in-laws, Shirley and Lois Follmar; three grandchildren, Christopher Darnell, Kevin Hillenbrand and Deborah Pratas and by four great grandchildren, Daniel and Mara Hillenbrand and Luke and Emily Pratas.

An evening viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July, 27, 2021 and again from 9:45-10:45 a.m., on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown.

Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.
