Jean E. Strichek

Jean Elizabeth Strichek, 97, of Downingtown, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at the Reading Hospital.

She was the wife of the late Anthony C. Strichek with whom she shared 51 years of marriage.  

Born in Coatesville, Jean was the daughter of the late James and Josephine Poole Groff.

She was a graduate of Scott High School in Coatesville and was a homemaker the majority of her life.

Jean was a former member of the Thorndale United Methodist Church and in her spare time, enjoyed bowling, ceramics and Sunday dinners spent with family.

Jean is survived by two daughters, Joann Panik and her husband, Mike, and Jill Green and her husband,John; grand-children Michael (Jeannie), Tracy (Greg), and Kristy (Dan), Shawn (fiancée Rena); and great-grandchildren, Claudia, Serena, Cole, Mya, Olivia, Luke, and Chase. She will also be missed by her pride and joy - her dog, Doodles.

Jean was predeceased by her siblings Geraldine Ramaley, James and Loyd Groff

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 25th at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 1060 W. Lincoln Highway, COATESVILLE.  Family and friends will be received from 9:30-10:45 a.m.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Coatesville.
